I'm surprised that more people don't go to the beach in the winter. Surprised and thankful. I couldn't imagine anything more peaceful experience than setting up my gear before dawn and waiting patiently on the shore for the sun to rise.

This is my first attempt at making some of my own. I followed a guide I saw on the Strobist site. I used a canon 580EX II off camera left at 1/4 power. It was triggered with a Canon ST-E2 wireless transmitter. I basically used the exact same technique from the Strobist tutorial.
